High Quality Flash 8 Video Encoder

You can now choose the video encoder between Sorenson (MX) video and Flash 8 (On2). Flash 8 video offers a much higher quality with the smaller file size. The Flash 8 support is done through a free plugin. Please go here to see how to install this plugin.

 

Command Line Interface (CLI)

It is now possible to automate the video export process via a command line interface. Flash Video Studio 2.0 allows you to pass a script file containing instruction on what video to publish and what publish settings to use. Everything you can do within the Flash Video Studio 2.0 can also be done automatically via this script file. You can also save your project as a script file so that you can easily learn the script syntax.

 

Navigation Control Now supports FLV format

You can now use a navigation control when publishing an FLV video. So you can now publish your video into an FLV format which supports a video longer than 10 minutes and yet still able to have a navigation control.

 

Event/Cue Point

It is now possible to set an event/cue point within a video timeline. An event/cue point is a location you can set anywhere within a video timeline. With event/cue point you can now synchronize your video and flash animation easily using Adobe Flash authoring tools. Flash Video Studio 2.0 also allows you to add action to an event. There are two actions currently supported. Load SWF movie which allows you to play an external SWF on top of the playing video which is very usefull for branding/advertising. OpenURL which allows you to dismish the video and open a specific website address.

 

Faster Video Publishing

With the redundant video frames removal, the publish process is now faster on some video file and yet produce a smaller video file.

 

Better FLV Compatibility to Flash MX/Flash 8 Video Control

An FLV published by Flash Video Studio 2.0 will now work flawlessly with Flash MX/Flash 8 Video Control. All functionalities such as navigation slider, forward, backward, etc are supported.

 

More Video Compression Settings

Several video compression settings such as exact bitrate control (only available on Flash 8 video) and redundant frame removal has been added to squeesh the file size out of your video file even further.

 

A Screen Video (lossless) Format

You can now choose between a lossy and screen (lossless) video format. A screen video is suitable for a video containing a desktop recording showing a software demonstration.

 

More Audio Controls

You can now adjust an audio volume for the main video and the secondary audio. You can also enable/disable audio fade out effect.

 

Click Action

You can now add a click action to open a website address. This action will be executed when a user clicks anywhere within the video content.

 

More Video Effects

Several new video effects such as ripple, wavy, ocean, flip, fish eye, etc has been added.

 

More Video Navigation Controls

Several more video navigation controls has been added.
